Accessibility Statement

Effective version: 2026-06-23

This document describes how StudyBuddyAI actually operates today and is provided as-is by StudyBuddyAI's operator, a private individual. It is not legal advice and is not a substitute for advice from a qualified lawyer. Any items still shown in [BRACKETS] are details we are finalising.

StudyBuddyAI is a web application used by families and children, available in English and Hebrew (with Hebrew laid out right-to-left). We want it to be usable by as many people as possible, including people who use assistive technology such as screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, or screen magnification.

This statement explains the standard we are working toward, the steps we take, the limitations we know about today, and how to get help or tell us about a problem. Accessibility is an ongoing effort for us — this statement describes goals and current efforts, not a guarantee of full conformance.

1. Our commitment

We are committed to continually improving the accessibility of StudyBuddyAI and to making it usable by as many people as possible, including people who use assistive technology.

We treat accessibility as part of building and maintaining the product, not as a one-time project. As we add and change features, our aim is to keep accessibility in mind and to fix barriers as we find them or as they are reported to us.

2. Conformance status

We are working toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. WCAG explains how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities.

We have not yet been independently audited or certified, and we do not claim full conformance today. We describe our progress as a target we are actively working toward, and we expect some parts of the product to meet it more completely than others while we keep improving.

  • Target standard: WCAG 2.1, Level AA (a goal we are working toward, not a certified result).
  • Status: partially conformant — some content or features may not yet fully meet the standard.
  • Independent audit: not yet performed; no third-party certification is currently in place.

3. Measures we take

We make ongoing efforts to design and build the product with accessibility in mind. These are practices we work toward across the product rather than guarantees that every screen meets them today:

  • Using semantic HTML and clear page structure (headings, landmarks, lists, and labels) so the content can be understood by assistive technology.
  • Supporting keyboard navigation so the main flows can be reached and operated without a mouse, and working to keep a visible focus indicator.
  • Paying attention to colour contrast and not relying on colour alone to convey meaning.
  • Supporting both English and Hebrew, including right-to-left (RTL) layout, so the interface reads correctly in each language.
  • Respecting a visitor's reduced-motion preference, so animations can be minimised for people who prefer less movement.
  • Aiming for readable text, descriptive links and buttons, and meaningful text alternatives for non-text content.
  • Considering accessibility as we design and review new and changed features.

4. Known limitations

Despite our efforts, some parts of the product may not yet be fully accessible. We want to be honest about that. Known and potential limitations include:

  • AI-generated tutoring content is produced dynamically and may not always follow ideal formatting, structure, or readability, which can affect how easily it is read with assistive technology.
  • Some interactive or recently added features may not yet be fully keyboard-operable or fully labelled for screen readers while we continue to improve them.
  • Third-party components (for example, the payment checkout) are provided by external services, and we have limited control over their accessibility.

If you run into a barrier that is not listed here, please tell us — see the section below. Reports help us prioritise fixes.

5. Feedback and getting help

We welcome your feedback on the accessibility of the service. If you encounter a barrier, cannot use a feature, or need information in a different format, please let us know.

How to report a barrier or request an alternative format

Email us at support@getstudybuddyai.com. To help us respond quickly, please describe the problem, the page or feature where it happened, the device, browser, and any assistive technology you were using, and what would help (for example, the same information in another format).

If part of the service is not accessible to you, we will try to provide the information or help you complete the task another way, and we will work to fix the underlying issue.

We aim to acknowledge accessibility reports within 5 business days and to give a substantive response or a plan to address the issue within 30 days.

6. Enforcement and contact

We want to resolve accessibility concerns directly and quickly, so please contact us first and give us the chance to help.

Accessibility contact: support@getstudybuddyai.com.

Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to raise an accessibility complaint with a relevant authority or regulator.

7. Changes to this statement

We will update this statement as the product and our accessibility efforts evolve — for example, after an assessment, when we fix known limitations, or when we adopt a new target. When we make changes, we will update the date shown at the top of the page.
